Cody

"Oh my! I'm coming over!" I say and hang up. I catch a taxi to the hospital, and silently openthe door that Neal's in.

Neal

I look at Macy and start to cry quietly, I hold her hand in mine gently and watch as she sleeps, she is very still and almost looks dead but the faint beeping on the heart monitor and slow lines appear showing she is alive.

Cody

I kneeled beside Neal, and wrapped an arm around his shoulders.

Neal

I would never be caught crying but this time I don't care, Macy is my daughter after all. I keep her hand in mine and tears slip my eyes, the tears hit Macy's hand. I whisper a beautiful song in Italian and gently rub Macy's hand.

Cody

I sing along with Neal, and the heart machine goes silent. I hugged him, and wiped away his tears.

Neal

I hug Cody back and cry, I let her wipe away my tears.

Cody

I kissed the side of his head, and continued to sing.

Neal

I smile a little and nuzzle my face into the side of her neck, I try to stop the flowing tears coming out of my eyes.

Cody

"She's in a better place now, Neal," I say and hug him tighter.

Neal

"Okay." I say and my tears stop, I hug her a little tighter but make sure to be gentle.

Cody

"Don't think about it, Neal. It will only make you sadder," I say.

Neal

I nod my head and let her go from the hug, I look at Macy's limp body and kiss her on the forehead, I look at her one last time before the nurses comes in and cover her up. "Macy was my only biological daughter." I tell Cody.

Cody

"Of you believe hard enough, you will have another one," I say and take a step closer. My mind was still a little foggy.

Neal

"It takes two people and I am very single." I say and laugh a little.

Cody

"You'll find someone," I say and smile.

Neal

"Who would want a man like me?" I ask and look her in the eyes

Cody

"Neal, you're a great guy. Truthfully, if I wasn't married, I would be dating you," I say and laugh a little.

Neal

I laugh a little and smile, "thanks." I say, I kiss her on the cheek but make sure to keep it friendly.

Cody

I sniffled again, and kissed him on the lips. I pulled away, and my eyes looked fully dilated.

Neal

I look at her eyes, "are you okay?" I ask.

Cody

I shrugged, "I don't know."

Neal

"Alright, I will take you back to my place until you get back to normal." I say and gently pick her up, I walk out of the hospital and set her in my car in the passenger seat. I buckle her in and get in the drivers seat, I drive us to my place.

Cody

I coughed, and got out of the car. I layed on the couch, and played with the ends of my hair, completely out of it.

Neal

I look at Cody and sit on my recliner, I hold in the urge to kiss her but I know it is so wrong, especially since she is out of it. I turn on the TV and watch it as I keep a good eye on her.

Cody

I started to giggle, and ended up rolling off the couch.
