Nathan

I move my foot when Cody moves and it lands in a puddle of something. "What the hell?" I say and lean up to look. I see it and shake Cody's shoulder, "your water broke when we were asleep." I say to her.

Cody

I leaned up and saw the puddle, "Oh." I rubbed my eye and layed back down, "Call the mid wife. I'm tired." I layed on my back and crossed my arms as I slept again.

Nathan

I call the Mid Wife and she comes a little later, she sets everything up and I wake up Cody. "Time to get up." I say to Cody and lightly shake her shoulder.

Cody

I hold back a scream as a contraction comes and nod my head, "Okay." I leaned up and clutched his hand tightly as the mid wife checked to see how dialated I was. She smiled, "Well, get ready to push sweetheart." She pulls away her hand and the glove is covered with blood. My eyes grow wide, "No. No, not again." I pushed, but only felt blood come out. I cried, "No..."

Nathan

My mother comes in the room and sits next to Cody and tries to comfort her. I hold Cody's hand and the Mid Wife tells her to keep pushing. "It will be alright,Cody, the baby is still alive." I say to her and wipe away the sweat on her forehead.

Cody

I pushed, and felt something move inside of me. The mid wife says to push again and I feel the bed start to soak up the blood. I buried my face in Nathan's shoulder, "Why does this always happen?" I pushed again and again, but I didn't hear the tiny cry I should be hearing by now.

Nathan

"I don't know but we always make it through." I say to her and soon I hear a very tiny cry.

Cody

I look up and see a very small baby being wrapped in a blanket. The Mid Wife smiled, "There's your baby girl. What's her name?" I giggled, "We were told it was a boy." I looked at Nathan, "You pick."

Nathan

I look at the little girl and smile a little, "Andrea." I say and smile wider as she holds my finger with her tiny hand.

Cody

I looked at the Mid Wife, "Why is she so small?" The Mid Wife smiles, "She's premature. But, she was going to be small even to full term." I looked back down at Andrea and smiled.

Nathan

I smile and watch as Andrea takes in the world, "she is so cute." I say.

Cody

I turn my head and let out a sneeze, making some more blood spill out. I look down, disgusted and utterly terrified, "Why am I still bleeding?!"

Nathan

"It might be extra blood." The Mid Wife says and starts to think a little.

Cody

I shake my head as I feel lightheaded and hold onto Nathan's hand. I took in deep breaths and tried my best to stay calm as the thought of a miscarriage fled through my mind.

Nathan

"Lay down and push again." The Mid Wife says to Cody.

Cody

I nod my head and lay down after giving Andrea to Linda. I pushed and held back a scream. I looked at Nathan, tears forming in by eyes.

Nathan

"It's okay." I say to Cody and hold her hand. The Mid Wife wraps another baby in a soft blanket, "triplets but these two are joined by the hip." She says and hands me two girls joined by the hips. "Any names?" I ask Cody and smile at the little girls.

Cody

"I was thinking Dillon and Dae." I looked at the Mid Wife, "Are they always going to be conjoined?" She nods her head, "There is a surgery you can do to get them separated." I looked at Nathan, a smile forming on my face, "It makes them special like this. What do you want to do?"

Nathan

"I think we should keep them conjoined, I like those names too." I say and smile, I hand them to her so she can hold them.

Cody

"Actually, I think we should get the surgery. It would be better to do it now than when they're older and begging us for it." I smiled and let Dillon, the twin on the right, hold my finger.

Nathan

"Are you sure?" I ask and look at the twins. "There are risks, not big ones though." The Mid Wife says.

Cody

I run my finger down their sides and it stops at the hip, "Yeah. It's only just skin and the small place where the bone connects." I smiled, "They shouldn't have to be resritced their entire life."

Nathan

"Alright." I say and smile a little.

Cody

"When can we do the surgery?" I asked the Mid Wife.

Nathan

"I would wait a little bit so they can grow more because they are premature." She says.
